Charlie Kirk, a conservative commentator and organizer, was apparently shot at an event at Utah Valley University. He is currently hospitalized. The suspect is reportedly in custody.
Graphic video circulating on X shows the moments Charlie Kirk was shot during an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He died later after being taken to the hospital.
Kirk, 31, was speaking at the university for his “America Comeback Tour,” according to the co-founder of Turning Point USA’s X account.

The video posted to social media shows Kirk on stage, sitting in a chair, talking into a microphone while sitting under a white tent emblazoned with the slogans “The American Comeback” and “Prove Me Wrong.”
A single gunshot was heard and Kirk’s head thrust back as he fell. People started screaming and running away, the video shows.

President Donald Trump later shared on his Truth Social account that Kirk died Wednesday afternoon.
