Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Henderson ISD Student and Alumna on Highway 64

HENDERSON, TX – The Henderson Independent School District (HISD) and the surrounding community are grieving the heartbreaking loss of two cherished individuals, Kyla Henderson and Aubree Edney, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident on July 28, 2025.
Kyla Henderson, a graduate of Henderson High School, and Aubree Edney, a student preparing to enter sixth grade at Henderson Middle School, were beloved members of the Henderson community. Their untimely passing has left an immense void in the hearts of their classmates, teachers, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing them.
