Dr. Mulleins-Foreman passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, and her loss is being felt profoundly across the entire GSW campus community.

Since joining the university in 2016, Dr. Mulleins-Foreman served not only as an exceptional educator but as a guiding light to her students, colleagues, and the broader healthcare field. With decades of experience as a medical professional, nurse educator, and a distinguished U.S. Army Colonel, she brought a unique depth of wisdom, discipline, and compassion to everything she touched.

Dr. Mulleins-Foreman was known for her unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing education, mentoring students with both rigor and grace. Her passion for teaching was matched only by her devotion to patient care and her incredible sense of duty—qualities that made her not only respected but truly beloved by students and faculty alike. Her voice, presence, and leadership left an indelible mark on Georgia Southwestern’s School of Nursing and on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As President Michelle R. Johnston, Ph.D. shared in her message to the campus:

“She touched and impacted many, many lives as an educator, a medical professional, and a U.S. Army Colonel. She has been part of the Georgia Southwestern family since 2016, and she will be dearly missed.”

Her passing leaves behind not only a void in the academic and professional world but also in the hearts of those who worked and learned alongside her.
