KETTERING, OH – The Kettering Police Department (KPD) is actively investigating a fatal crash that occurred earlier this morning and is now turning to the public for assistance in identifying two vehicles and their drivers who may have witnessed the incident or events leading up to it.

Authorities have released information about the two vehicles of interest, which were captured on traffic surveillance in the vicinity of the crash. Investigators believe the drivers may have important information that could help piece together the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

•The first vehicle is believed to be a 2019–2021 Toyota RAV4, color unknown at this time.

•The second vehicle is believed to be a 2017–2022 Chevrolet Trax, whose driver appeared to be wearing a neon yellow or green shirt, possibly indicative of a work uniform or safety vest.

While these individuals are not considered suspects, KPD emphasizes they could be critical witnesses who unknowingly observed key details that could support the ongoing investigation.

“We believe the drivers of these vehicles may have seen something important—either during the crash itself or in the moments leading up to it,” said a spokesperson for the Kettering Police Department. “We’re asking them, or anyone who may recognize these vehicles, to please come forward.”
