The roar of a Thursday night motorcycle ride ended in devastating silence for a Neenah family, as authorities confirmed a 19-year-old local man was killed in a tragic crash.

Damyen Worm, a young man whose life was just beginning, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died following a serious collision on July 3rd in Outagamie County. The incident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. on County Highway N near the intersection with Lost Lane in the Town of Cicero.

According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, preliminary investigations indicate the tragedy unfolded when a southbound SUV, a Ford Escape, attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Lost Lane. In that fateful moment, the vehicle turned directly into the path of Worm’s northbound motorcycle.

The impact was severe. Despite the best efforts of first responders who rushed to the scene, Damyen Worm was pronounced dead from the injuries he sustained in the collision. The driver of the Ford Escape, a 69-year-old man from the nearby town of Hortonville, remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with investigators.

In the wake of the crash, a profound sadness has settled over the community as friends and family grapple with the loss of a son, a friend, and a young man with a bright future ahead. The crash remains under active investigation by the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol. Authorities are working to piece together the final moments leading up to the collision, though impairment is not considered a factor.

As the investigation continues, the memory of Damyen Worm serves as a somber reminder of the fragility of life on the road.
