BILLINGS — Authorities have identified Abbigayle Sally Lue Crawford, a 20-year-old Billings resident, as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash on Skyway Drive. The Yellowstone County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Friday, July 25, 2025, that Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the accident. The crash, which occurred late Wednesday, July 23, 2025, near the intersection of Alkali Creek Road and Skyway Drive where it connects with West Wicks Lane, has been officially ruled an accident by Deputy Coroner Rich Hoffman.

Billings police are actively investigating the circumstances of the crash. According to a statement from the Billings Police Department (BPD), two people were involved in the incident, but no information has been released regarding the identity or condition of the second occupant, nor has it been confirmed whether Crawford was driving at the time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with limited details disclosed as authorities continue to gather evidence.

The severity of the wreck necessitated the closure of Skyway Drive for approximately 12 hours, allowing police to conduct a thorough investigation at the scene.
